I want to be able to kick higher than i can, i cant kick very high as it is. So what stretches exercises etc could I do ??

In order to increase the resting length of your muscles, you need to do stretches at the end of a workout. This helps stretch the connective tissue in the muscle, thus increasing overall range of motion. The stretching done prior to a workout is only intended to loosen up and the flexibility gains tend to be temporary. I’d recommend taking time either at the end of class or at the end of a workout to focus on stretching. Don’t push yourself too hard, overstretching can cause tears which will sideline you for a couple days. Go light, and do it regularly and you should see steady improvement over time.
