What are the best exercises or stretches to get more flexibility in hamstrings and upper quads?

I asked this already, but I said hip flexors and I think I meant quads. I’m not an anatomy whiz but I’ll bet someone out there is.
This is to do the splits I’m about 2 inches away from front splits and a vertical foot from side splits.

Stand up straight with legs shoulder length apart. Reach down with your back still straight until you tough the floor. Now move your hands about a foot forward, with your legs still straight. You will feel a little pain in the back of your legs, but that are your hamstrings being stretched!!
