Are there any stretches to improve flexibility that will help with the splits?

i really want to get the splits but i’m not flexible enough at the moment!

Sit in a straddle position with your toes pointed. Stretch up and go to one side. Hold it there for about 30 seconds. Then do the same with the other side and the middle. You want to be able to lye flat on your stomach in the middle like a pancake. Once you do this do the same with your toes flexed. Then try your splits. Don’t do to much at one time because you don’t want to pull a muscle or something. Good Luck!
